One hundred and fifty riders joined us for the first Dorset Poker Run since 2018; despite unfavourable winter conditions, the feedback was that the ride was great, the checkpoints amazing and overall, a great day on the trails was had by all!

The Dorset Poker Run is back!

Tall Pines Snowmobile Club and the Dorset Volunteer Firefighters Association have partnered to bring you the 2024 Dorset Poker Run.

All proceeds from the event are donated to the Tall Pines Snowmobile Club and the Dorset Volunteer Firefighters Association.

$50 per rider, one additional hand can be purchased per person at $20.

The 2024 Poker Run will start at the Dorset Fire Hall on Main Street in Dorset, Ontario.

The tentative loop will have five checkpoints starting at the Dorset Fire Hall, Crozier Lake, Trout Spawn Lake/Bear Lake, Mountain Trout House Marina, and Raven Lake Landing.

You’ll arrive back at the Station 60 Fire Hall at the end of your ride, cards will be dealt, hamburgers and sausages grilled and prizes won.

Event Schedule:

Before the event: Online registration or at our registration times.
Print your checkpoint card from home and start anywhere along the route Saturday morning, or come to the Dorset Fire Hall to pick up your checkpoint card Friday night from 7-9 pm or Saturday from 8-11 am.

8 am – 11 pm: Late Registration. Pick up checkpoint cards and route maps if you can’t print them from home.

9 am – 4 pm: Checkpoints are open

3 – 6 pm: BBQ Open

3 pm – 5:30 pm: BBQ and trade your checkpoint card for your poker hand at the Dorset Fire Hall. Make sure to be in line no later than 4:30 pm

5:30 pm (or sooner): Winners/ prizes are announced.
